My son, Nick Cammarata, was a 13-year-old teen who was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on the Fourth of July, 2008. For four months, Nick struggled to get into remission so he could have a bone marrow transplant, which was his best chance for survival. He went into remission on October 18, 2008. On October 26, 2008, Nick lost his valiant fight with cancer, but his spirit and love guides us daily.

The mission of Nick’s Fight to be Healed Foundation is to financially and emotionally support pediatric cancer patients as well as serve the young adult cancer community in Upstate New York.

A portion of all book sales are donated to this foundation. 100% of What Makes them Amazing is donated, plus all newly diagnosed families receive a copy of this book in their Family Hope Bag.
